GFSI-recognised scheme. The Foundation for Food Safety Certification owns the scheme, carrying full GFSI benchmark recognition &mdash; the reason retailers and brand owners treat it as adequate proof of food safety competence, without running a separate audit of their own.<\/p>\n<h2>FSSC 22000 V6 vs. V7: What Actually Changed<\/h2>\n<p>FSSC published Version 7 in May 2026, replacing Version 6, with the transition window running through to 30 April 2028. The underlying structure stays unchanged: ISO 22000, prerequisite programmes, HACCP-based hazard analysis, and Additional Requirements. A newer import-distribution business building its FSMS from scratch should plan for longer. A firm timeline follows the gap analysis, not the other way round.
